The Process

step 1:

Let’s get to know each other!

Once you inquire & begin the conversation, we’ll chat details! We’ll schedule a short call or video chat to go over everything; your vision, your budget, my philosophy, and more! We discuss your options and after our call I send a more in-depth depth guide covering what we talked about. If you decide to move forward, booking is the next step! I send you and your partner a contract, 25% retainer to save your date, & that’s it! you’re booked! If you booked an engagement session, we’ll get it scheduled. Before your wedding, I send over an in-depth questionnaire to gather all the details for your wedding day.

step 2:

It’s your wedding day!

The day is finally here! Time for you to forget about the logistics & planning and enjoy the big day! Rest easy knowing that my goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere that allows you to be yourself and enjoy the moment, without feeling overwhelmed by posing for the camera. Within one week of your wedding, I’ll send up to 30 sneak peek photos to have in your hands before receiving your full gallery within 10 weeks of your wedding.

General Questions

I’m a family and wedding photographer in Bend, Oregon but available for travel at an extra cost.

Photos are delivered through your very own online, private gallery and easy to download from there! You have access to your online gallery for one year from your wedding. It’s the easiest way to share with family and friends and order prints or gifts.

The short answer is no. While some photographers choose to go off of shot lists at weddings, I prefer not to as it can create unrealistic expectations on the couples behalf. Although I’d usually catch most of these as they unfold naturally throughout the day, I wouldn’t go out of my way to curate any moments that aren’t reflective of the day itself. I would hate to miss something beautiful and candid because I was focusing on a shot list. With that being said, I definitely love knowing if there’s anything out of the norm that you’d like a photo of on the day. Let’s chat about it!

My suggestion is to wear your favorite outfit(s). Usually your favorite outfit is something you look and feel great in. Try to avoid bold colors and large flowers/patterns that might be distracting and draw attention away from you. I recommend earth tones, denim etc. that compliments the locations I typically shoot in. Feel free to bring as many options as you want and we can go through them throughout your shoot! First of all, hi, you’re beautiful just the way you are. I understand why I receive this question so often, and I have been here before myself. I don’t claim to be a photoshop expert and I won’t do anything to alter your body or make you appear different than you are. I will however, photograph you in the most flattering way possible and make you feel beautiful just the way you are. I promise.

Yes! After every wedding, I back up all your photos to 2 external hard drives, and also keep them on my memory card until they are delivered safely to you. I always keep a copy of your edited files on hand in case you lose them, & I hang on to your online gallery for one year after your wedding, although I encourage you to save your entire gallery when you receive it! I recommend saving your wedding photos to at least two different places (USB and cloud based site, such as Dropbox) for safe keeping!
