Unique Horse Creek Lodge Wedding

A Horse Creek Lodge wedding is the quintessential Oregon experience for nature-loving couples. Kaili and Pat headed to Horse Creek Lodge for a low-stress wedding weekend. They made the most of the long weekend to connect with their people and have a festive celebration with fireworks!

Horse Creek Lodge

Horse Creek Lodge is a venue tailored to outdoor enthusiasts. It’s located in the Cascade Mountains near the Willamette National Forest. You can rent cabins or, for more rugged guests, camp nearby. The property has many mountain bike trails. Horse Creek Lodge also offers shuttles for guests who want to hike the McKenzie River Trail.

If you want your wedding to be a whole weekend of fun and activities, you can absolutely make that happen at Horse Creek Lodge. Kaili and Pat stayed for three nights on their wedding weekend, and they were so glad they did! They got to settle in with friends and family and feel less rushed on their wedding day. Since they weren’t trying to see everyone in one night, they had time to connect with guests in a more meaningful way.

Kaili and Pat’s Festive Wedding

Horse Creek Lodge was the perfect Oregon wedding venue for Kailli and Pat. The outdoors have been part of this couple’s story from the start. They met working at the Forest Service where Kaili was a dispatcher. Pat was a firefighter and came into Kaili’s office for an apprenticeship program, and by the end of their first three days working together they knew they’d found something special.

Fast forward five years, and Pat proposed at Silver Falls State Park. The couple hiked a loop with several waterfalls. Pat waited until they were finally alone to get down on one knee and ask the big question. He packed a whole picnic with champagne in his bag. They sat down to toast with a view of the waterfalls. Kaili describes the moment as pure bliss. Their friends were so excited that they took bets on whether Pat would propose at a waterfall or on top of a mountain. Waterfalls won!

Pat and Kaili’s Horse Creek Lodge wedding was full of surprises. They genuinely loved throwing an amazing party for their friends and family. During the reception, the couple changed outfits and donned gold and rainbow sequins for the dance floor.

As hard as it was to leave the dance floor, Kaili and Pat’s favorite part of the night was surprising their guests with fireworks! It was such a fun and festive experience, and it reflected the couple’s wish to treat their friends and family to a memorable experience. At the end of the day, having everyone together dancing and laughing was the most exciting part of the whole day for the couple.
