Sparks Lake Oregon Wedding | Carly + Tommy

Carly and Tommy’s Sparks Lake Oregon wedding was one of my favorites of 2021. I met these two in 2019 at a coffee shop to chat about their original 2020 wedding plans. At the time, they had a much different plan for their wedding, but a certain C word I won’t name changed the plans entirely. With a completely different plan in place, these two exuded such positivity and happiness – after eloping at Sparks Lake in 2020, they returned to the same spot in 2021 to exchange vows with close friends and family as their witness. With about 20 close family and friends surrounding them in a circle, it was a short, sweet and meaningful ceremony; with Tommy even surprising Carly with an additional beautiful moonstone ring from Misa Jewelry. I love how many meaningful rings Carly had with her for her wedding day!

In her own words, Carly says “We met through mutual friends while living in San Francisco. After two years of dating, we decided to move to Bend. Tommy moved first, with Carly following shortly after. When he picked me up from the airport on my one-way ticket, we headed out to sisters to cut down our first Christmas tree together. When we found “the one” he got down on a knee to propose, but not before asking me to hold the saw ;)”

Seventh Mountain Resort Wedding Reception

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was when Carly changed into her grandmothers wedding dress, walked down to the reception and surprised her grandparents. The look on her grandmothers face is one I won’t soon forget and had so many surrounding us in tears.

Their reception decor was romantic and nostalgic, with records as guest books and a gorgeous homemade cake made by a friend – every detail was intentional. Hey You Flowers adorned the space with colorful wildflowers with Boxwood Kitchen providing dinner.

Any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
