Loloma Lodge Fall Wedding

Regan and Mason got married on a beautiful fall day in late September. They got ready together in the main cabin, surrounded by their friends and family. They walked together down to the ceremony site, had a beautiful hand fasting ceremony, and attended their cocktail hour with all of their guests. They threw out traditional wedding norms and prioritized spending as much time with their people as they could. They danced late into the night and made it so true to them, it was the best day in Central Oregon for these two to promise forever together.

Getting Married at Loloma Lodge

Loloma Lodge – one of the coziest places in Central Oregon to get married. You’re surrounded by towering tall trees with the sound of the McKenzie river behind you as you say your vows. A-frame glamping tents and traditional cabins along the river make it so that all of your guests (up to 125) can stay the weekend, making it a really beautiful and intentional wedding weekend for all of your guests traveling in. Weekend rates start at $10,000 with a $2,000 deposit to book the lodge. With this fee, you have access to the main lodge and riverfront cabins, ceremony site, a covered stage, (mainly used for your reception and dancing, but great to have in case it rains!) outdoor fire pits, and tables and chairs. This is the perfect venue if you don’t want to have to worry about your guests having to drive and find lodging for after the wedding!

Regan and mason’s love story

“We met in college. We were both smokers and the school at a designated smoking area. We spent a lot of cold nights sitting on the picnic tables together and became best friends. We also said we could never date and thought we were so different but turns out we were wrong!
We knew we wanted to get married but we never cared much about wedding traditions or gender roles. We decided to each plan a trip for the other person in secret to propose to each other. Regan proposed to Mason on an island in the Pacific Northwest at the top of the highest tower on the highest peak. Mason proposed to Regan under a new moon milky way in the middle of the desert. It was magic.”

Favorite moment of your wedding day?

Regan: “I have so many favorite parts of our wedding day but the one that I really cherish is when after everything was over and we had gone back to our room for the night, we stripped off our wedding stuff and I went to take off my make up. When I came back, Mason had fallen asleep on top of the blankets, just absolutely exhausted from the day. I got to tuck him in and then cuddle up for the night.”

Mason: “My favorite moment amongst a thousand favorite moments was when we were getting ready. We got ready together with all our friends not apart. I was upstairs in the lodge putting my earrings in and i remember looking down on the main room and seeing Regan doing their make up with their hair curled. They were smiling and laughing with our friend Sally and it all just hit me at once. They looked happy and beautiful. I was overcome with how lucky I was to be marrying this incredible person.”

If you were to give future couples one piece of planning advice, what would it be?

“Honestly, having a venue or reception somewhere that folks can stay the night. Being able to have all our close friends and family stay on site was so lovely. We were all able to party without worrying about driving or getting home safely.”

Anything else you’d like to add about your wedding day?

“Take time for the two of you. It is your day, not anyone else’s. Don’t forget that.”
