I had the most amazing family session with the Bates family at the Skyliner Lodge in Bend, Oregon. You know, I love being a Bend family photographer because I get to capture these special moments for families in such a beautiful place.

The session was all about their daughter, Winter, who had just turned one. It was the perfect time to have photos done, capturing her at this adorable age where every little thing is a new discovery for her. And let me tell you, she was an absolute joy to photograph! Just look at her smile, it’s so contagious!

Now, let’s talk about the weather. It was a chilly 40 degrees and sprinkling almost the entire time we were there. But you know what? This family didn’t let that stop them from having a great time. They braved the elements with big smiles on their faces, running around and cuddling up together to keep warm. Some of my favorite photos ever have been taken in the rain, which goes to show, sometimes we have to work with what we have and let it be an adventure!

The session itself was short and sweet, but we managed to capture some truly beautiful moments. I love how the photos turned out, showing the love and connection within this sweet fam! Seeing the joy on Winter’s face as she played with her parents, it’s moments like these that make me so happy to be a family photographer.
